Universal Pre-Kindergarten

The Universal Prekindergarten program will be funded by a New York State grant.

The UPK program will be run by SCOPE and will be housed out of some of our Elementary Schools. Parents must provide transportation to and from the program.

To be eligible, your child must turn 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2026. Applicants will be selected by a lottery to attend this full day program. In order to participate in this lottery, ALL completed forms and required documentation must be submitted via email to Central Registration at wbregistration@wbschools.org or hand delivered to Central Administration Registration Office, 10 Farmingdale Road, West Babylon, NY 11704 or fax to (631) 376-7019 by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2026.

Applications for West Babylon School District’s 2026-27 Universal Prekindergarten program lottery will be found on our website www.wbschools.org main page’s Announcements or Popular Links and under the Parents/Guardians tab by Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The lottery will take place virtually on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The link for the lottery will be posted on our website. At this time, we do not have the exact number of spots available. We are waiting for finalized numbers from New York State.

Residents who are accepted into the program may need to complete additional documents required by SCOPE.
