Kindness Shines at Junior High School

The Junior High School recently participated in The Great Kindness Challenge Week and has earned the designation of a Certified School of Kindness. The schoolwide initiative encouraged students and staff to engage in meaningful acts of kindness and promote a positive, inclusive school culture.
Throughout the week, students completed a kindness checklist and took on daily challenges focused on helping others and spreading positivity. One of the highlights was the creation of the Tree of Kindness, where students filled the display with thoughtful quotes and messages centered on compassion and respect.
Students also wrote letters of gratitude to teachers, staff members and peers who make the junior high school an outstanding place to learn. These heartfelt notes served as a reminder of the important role kindness plays in building strong relationships within the school community.
Faculty and staff actively participated by posting words of encouragement and kindness on classroom doors and throughout the hallways. In addition, students shared uplifting messages during the daily morning announcements, ensuring that kindness was at the forefront of each school day.
The week concluded with a fun and engaging “Be the I in Kind” photo booth, complete with props and smiles, made possible through the support of the school’s Parent Teacher Association.
