As part of a Valentine’s Day exchange, fifth grade students at John F. Kennedy Elementary School wrote friendly letters and created handmade Valentine’s cards to share with fellow fifth grade classes in Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Iowa and Oregon. This fun and meaningful activity helped students practice their writing skills while building connections with peers from different parts of the United States.
